Easton skate problem

Recommended Posts

I've had my 1500c skates for about a month now (purchased from my LHS) and really like them. However, while skating tonight, I noticed the chrome/silver rivet on the back about 2/3 way up from the heel (on the 1200c and 1300 too) on the "right" boot came out. The rest of pick-up was fine with the skate and nothing came apart, but I can't really tell what the rivet even does.

I'll head to my LHS in a couple of days, but thought I would check here first if this has happened to anybody else and/or anybody knows what the rivet does?

Both of mine fell out of the Original 04 Synergies the first month I had them. I used them for 2 seasons like that with no problems

That has nothing to do with Easton. Every skate has little things that don't always look perfect. My old 852s came unstitched along the white plastic piece (about an inch) and they held up for four years before I gave to a friend of mine who still wears them. My S500s had the minor issue with the tendon guard but after I got it fixed, there hasn't been a problem at all. Vapors have issues, Vectors have issues, Grafs have issues, name one who doesn't.
