Ray Bourque, Paul Coffey and Larry Murphy, three of the most prolific defensemen in NHL history, were selected for the Hockey Hall of Fame on Wednesday. The the Class of 2004 also includes Cliff Fletcher, who will be inducted as a builder.

The first two were no doubt going to make it and I'm glad to see Murphy make it in as well.

I wonder if they'll boo Murphy? I always liked him and am kind've glad to see him get in. The Coffee and Bourque are obvious to me.

Well i guess Neely will have to wait another year, i was supprised that he wasn't even included in the players that werent named section of the article

As much as I love Neely, it would create a lot of problems if he was in. Like the fact Lindros has better numbers.

Some worthy inductees this year... i often think they let too many people in just fo rthe sake of the cerimony, i'd kinda prefer it if standards are stiffer and make inductions more worthy... any one else think that?

Can't believe Coffee w/ the 48 goals in 1 season. Of course the team he played on helped plenty. Would have liked to see him hit 50.

Coffee, in his Oiler days, was a 5 forward. Think Ozolinish on steriods.

Charlie Huddy in the day was a stay at home D with 20 goals!!!! Think of Hal Gill with 20 goals?????
