tapered blades

would any of you know whether itd be possible to take a normal wooden blade and shave it down as to make it a tapered wooden blade? theres a few tapered shafts down where i live, plus i got a broken ops, but there is very little, if any, tapered blades. so i'm just curious as to if it would work, or if wouldnt work, of itd just snap like a twig if u used it and whatnot.

or a power sander which works better :)

I did it with a pro t-flex and it works great. I used a chisel,hammer, file and electri sander to do mine.
