Mission prostock shafts

Recommended Posts

Older Mission products used ION to designate standard shafts and Ether to denote tapered shafts.

Oh, ok thanks Chadd. So were current Ions ever for sale?

Yes, but the "Pro Stock Flyweight Ion Shafts" are old standard shafts with Flyweight graphics.

Just ordered 3 flyweights :D Missed out on the 3 for 59 but atleast I'm getting them for about half of what I payed 2 years ago. $35 shipping to Canada though <_<

well I hope I like them because I ended up with 3 . I bought a couple of blades to so they atleast made some money off me. I stopped buying on HM because of past issues "nothing major but enough small issues" that have kept me away. But I'm really impressed with how they're owning up to the misprint and atleast finding a middle ground that still makes for a great deal.

Mine just arrived this morning. Holy crap these flyweights are nice! Without me even asking HM shipped these overnight. I think that HM handled this situation pretty well.

the flyweights that I got look more like the higher ones on the website, but they're not identical to either of them.

cool

Let us know how they perform, that is when you use one. :D

I not familiar with this shaft, but everyone seems to be really gaga over it. Now, I'm tempted to get one. Is all this hype based on original Flyweight and was it tapered or non-tapered?

Chris

I received a 65 flex L-2 and a 90 flex Hex-1 Grip today. Both are senior length. Here's a pic:

Did you pay full price?

Yeah, I'm not one to put up a fuss. I had ordered three originally, but after the phone call opted to cancel the 75 flex Hex-1.......although I'm kinda thinking I should have kept the Hex-1 instead of the 90 flex Hex-1 Grip. Although I might end up selling the Hex-1 Grip to a friend.

Does the l2 really feel like its 65 flex? I am hoping it will be pretty whippy.

I didn't want to make a big deal out of it either but they offered to change my order to 3 flyweights for 60 bucks so I was happy.

Is your L2 65 flex senior width also?

I got to try a Pro 75 flex Hex1 (Calgary) before they got sent to Hockeymonkey for sale. It felt like an Intermediate width to me. Very narrow and round.

Regardless, these are nice shafts at a great price. Looking forward to some reviews as they arrive.

i know hull always had grip, does your l2 have a grip to it?

No grip, and really don't feel much of a grip on the Hex-1 Grip either (probably will compare to a retail Hex-1 Grip next time I'm at my LHS).

Yeah, it's senior dimensions. I have an intermediate M-1, and the L-2/Hex-1 shafts I got are both noticeably larger in size.

If someone would pick me up a couple 90 flex hex-1 grips I would much appreciate it. My paypal account is loaded but they unfourtunatly won't take paypal.

Please PM me if anybody has an extra lying around or if they just want to buy a couple and ship them to me.

Thanks,

Nick

Got mine like an hour ago. Set to pulling out the plugs right away; when they came out they had a square sponge on the end of every one. Is this a vibration-dampening system or what? I'll post pics if you guys want me to.
