Fantasy Opinions Needed

I need to pick up a D-Man off the free agents list as a backup and I've narrowed it down to either

1. Dan Hamhuis (NSH)

2. Ryan Whitney (PIT)

I'm worried about Hamhuis' PP time being eaten up mostly my Timonen and Zidlicky, but like his +/- and durability.

With Whitney, I know he'll be on the top PP unit, but he has a negative +/-.

Both guys have a ton of offensive potential, and if Hamhuis was guaranteed a ton of PP time, I'd take him, but with the situation at hand, I'm debating. Actually, I've already picked up Whitney, but can drop him for Hamhuis.

I need a guy in case Redden's injury keeps him out.

Yes, last week. I'd go with Hamhuis because he may not soak up the PP time but his team is infinitely better and +/- is going to kill you with Whitney.

Hopefully brashear or erskine will take whitney to dance a few times in the first regular season matchup
