bauer p106

Recommended Posts

the bauer p106 is listed as a 5 lie in the pattern db, but ive seen it also listed as a 6 on several retailers sites. which is correct?

also, are there any other patterns that have a slightly larger curve than the modo/forsberg with a 5 lie? i looked at the db, but have not been able to find most of the patterns available to buy.

I trust the information I get from this site with regards to equipment far far more than any other site that I have seen out there, particularly the big online retailers like the GiantMonkey and such, who still have mission skates fitting like your shoe, even with the new models

It lie on the P106 lines up almost perfectly with the Easton Drury, which is a 5.5. I used the 106 for about six months and it definately felt higher than a 5.

Agreed, higher than a 5. Although the extreme rocker on the bottom makes it difficult to compare to flatter bottomed blades, it's definitely higher than a PM9 (which seems to be universally accepted as a 5 lie).

Next time I find a new one I'll do another comparison but in the past it was sub 5.5, things may have changed now that they are having them all done in china.

I have a P106 Gagne, bauer vapor xxxx with says its a 6 lie.

Since we're bumping something old, I have 2 one95's with a p106. They are a little bit above a 5 lie and feel a lot like Recchi, maybe 5.25 or so.

I take it this is pretty much the Drury equivalent in the XXXX? I am thinking of getting that blade for my SE shaft. I also see the P91A looks a lot like the Drury - which one is closest from those with experience using it?

The P91A would be the drury equivalent.

I think somewhere I have a picture of a p106 and Easton drury side by side. Perhaps in one of the other p106 threads. Can't search for it while I'm at work, otherwise I'd post it again.

Seriously guys, digging up a three year old topic to rehash the debate over lie? We list it as a 5 for a reason.
