offset blade

a friend of mine just gave me one of his old hespeler gretzky offset blades, and i was wondering what the offset is for. is it to help you with passing, accuracy, shooting, stick handling, etc?

Shooting. It essentially gives you the equivalent of a 1.5 inch curve while keeping a the ability to pass on the backhand. It's a crappy gimmick

Just put it in a shaft and screw around with it on the rink, it's pretty much a novelty blade but interesting nonetheless.
