I work at a Canadian Bank. I would recommend closing your account and your mom cancelling her credit card, if it isn't too late already. eBay can only take from the sources you have given them access to. eBay could technically sue you, though I am not sure if they would. Also, you have documentation of correspondence, tracking info, etc, you could raise a good counter-argument if they did. At least it would be on more even terms than when it is all up to them. That being said, I am not a lawyer, so I accept no liability for my advice!

FYI: Paypal and eBay are the same company, not sure if that was pointed out yet or not.
