Allsmokenopancake 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 OK, so I changed to the Itech hp8000 pants about 3 months back, and I love them. They are really comfy (after getting used to the snugness compared to my old bauers), and after taking a direct hit to my tailbone this week, am really impressed with the protection. I changed because I but my tailbone and couldn't sit for a few weeks. Anyway, I was looking at the itech site and couldn't find anything on them. Are they off the market or does anyone know?Just seem like great pants for the money (I got them for $60). Do Itech not have a solid rep for player pants?Just curious, cheers
sc37 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 Yeah think they don't make them anymore. THink the 8000 was the nicer version of the 4000, which I happen to waer right now. Think the pant line tops out at 6000, or 6600 now and it's close to the Mission pants. Idk about the rep it has, but I like mine, definitely good protection. The 4000s I got feel like Tacks, just a little bigger, baggier fitting.

KYHockey3 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 i searched on google for itech hp8000 pants and a bunch of different, but random sites showed them. so i dont think they are smu's. but they were probably just made in limited quantites, or not made anymore. Chadd 916 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 Most people looking to buy a high end pant didn't think of buying Itech. They've always had decent shoulders, elbows and shins but they've been seen more as a low-mid end provider of gear by most people. The 990, 660, etc line of stuff is actually pretty good though I would be surprised if they sold a huge quantity of either series.
Allsmokenopancake 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 I see, so they are not considered a pantaloon force. Well, I have to say, I love mine. I fall a lot, and am a big guy (6'3'' 240lbs), and I love the protection I get from them. Also, like the zippers too, and the little velcro tab to stop the zipper actually digging into your leg. Thanks for the info folks
