one90 or XXXlite?

Recommended Posts

you cant judge from how many games youve watched how durable a stick is since those sticks are pro stock adn are custom made for that player and are a lot stronger thatn the retail type so they cant be compared

That is completely untrue, who told you that?

I use Pro Stocks mostly and they are the same thing as retail, unless a stick is painted as another model, the only custom thing on the stick is the pattern and sometimes the player's name.

Who told you only thing different on Pro Stock is the pattern? I have seen some Pro Stock Eastons that don't match up at all in blade construction to the retail Easton OPS.

I was at the Flyers-Devils game last night and some kid got Simon Gagne's One90. Looked nice. I liked his pattern. I'm surprised the kid got it considering they lost, players aren't usually generous after losses.

Really? Ive had alot of Pro Stock Synergies and the blade construction always looked the same to me, but I know you know your equipment so Ill take your word for it.

Most are similar construction to retail models, but there are a fair number that are different. My Kaberle has the old Inno blade rather than the new one. My Schaefer had the polarfibre grip which isn't available anymore, I think Sundin's stick are re-inforced at the fuse point, and theres many more like this out there.

From a guy who's used 3 XXX Lites, I would not recomend them. They are pretty light, but I think that there are lighter sticks available, plus they are cheaper. The XXX Lite blade is one of the worst I have ever used. It held up about a month and a half before it chipped to hell. The bottom of the blade fell apart then the material inside fell out so I was left with a hollow blade.

The only way I would ever suggest getting the XXX Lite is if you've got the big bucks to get one every month.

Hope I helped.

Month and a half... Thats a loooooong time for a comp.

I know I've managed to get a good 4 months (not consistently) out of Z-Carbs. I'm not too hard on my sticks, and maybe ATT isn't either.

I've used my current inno since january, and it's all still in one piece. That includes two tryouts, a showcase, aready around 9 games this season, 4 practices a week. 3 practices a week with some pro players from mid-july to september.

How do you all break your sticks so fast?

just in case if sundin want to throw his stick again in the stand, there's a chance the stick will still stay in ops

are you still in intermediates? That may very well be part of it, as no one here really specifies if they use senior/int.

And also, you can't judge which sticks are more likely to break during an NHL game because the results are skewed towards the sticks no one uses. If no one uses the stick, no one is going to break one eh?

Nope.

All them were Seniors

Guess Im just to rough with them.

I mean I take very good care of them in the lkrm, car and home so all it really touches is the ice.
