Beauchemin using Ballistik?

Recommended Posts

As I stated in the Moreau thread, they paid the fee this year.

I guess I missed that one, I like the look of the 52 Caliber SE, maybe it might be worth checking out.

Also it looks like Ballistik does Custom Comp Blades now.

Yeah, they've sent samples to 20 French-Canadian players.

They have a new pro rep.

Beauchemin is the only I have seen.

Why Frenchies? Is the company French-Canadian?

The website says that the 52 caliber is only 405 grams.

I hate when companies list stuff like that. On the site, they list the SE Blade at 140gs, and the separate SE Shaft at 290...that's 430! So how does the same blade and shaft in a OPS equal 405?

There could be a slight difference because the 2 piece version does feel a little heavier.

last season there was this 10 year old kid that always came in asking if we got the "ball-sack" sticks in yet. here we go again....

that seems to be quite a stick lineup for a relitively unknown company.

isnt beauchemin the french canadian born, visor wearing player that avery was talking about last season?

I think that was Gauthier

Yeah it was, but I think he was on Phoenix at the time.

the graphics package look like Rebellion sticks, which were also supposedly not so good. Haven't seen these yet, but I'll keep an eye out. Kinda cool that the sticks are named after rifles.

I read 400g on their page.

Under senior 52 caliber - the written blurb says 400 gr; under specifications on the same page it says an average raw weight of 405 gr

Could be the weight difference between the four flexes offered?

Ballistik has to be filling their pants up over how much one of their products is being discussed.

I guess the NHL fee was worth it then...

I haven't taken a shot with one of their sticks in years but I know too many people who equate their name with heavy, dead-feeling, price point OPS. Its going to take a bit more marketing to undo the damage their first couple of product lines has done.
