stevo 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2004 Go public skating. I found the best way to break in skates was to actually skate in them as much as possible. It's only uncomfortable for the first few skates.
Justin 1933 134 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 You can probably re heat fit them. This usually helps....I know sometimes I have heated a skate twice....
Lucius 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Call me crazy, but I've always felt that even the stiffest skates shouldn't give you more than mild discomfort at first - unless, of course, they're the wrong shape for your foot.
wristshot19 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 You also might want to try different ways of lacing them up. Having skates too tight in the wrong spots can cause quite a few aches and pains.
asdfa 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 it would help if you told everyone where your foot hurts. when i first got my skates, they hurt like crazy, but that was only because i tied the midfoot way too tight
