i'm looking for so new shoulder pads that are not to big. what brands should i look @?

SherWood makes a minimalist pad line, I believe it's called the 5030 classic line or something to that effect.

Itech SP50s are postively Shanahan-ish in their level of bulkiness.

I've noticed a lot of NHLers use the Sherwood 5030's.

I own a pair but have never given them a fair shot.

the 5030's are very light and comfortable, but have very poor biceps/arm protection. A crosscheck on the arm really hurts.. I would recommend the Easton Classic SP, Bauer SP60 or Bauer Impact 400.

All have hard polyethylene biceps protectors..

I have the Sher-woods myself, but they are going to be replaced in the near future by Bauer SP Impact 400.. (Dont like the lace-up front thing)
