New Mission shaft

Recommended Posts

Fuel has become a single OPS instead of an entire line and V-Hex will be the other shaft / stick / blade options. The original HEX blades were made using a manufacturing process we no longer use. I believe we have resolved the chipping and stiffness issue. Fuel sticks will be available around Dec. 1 in the US and Canada. V-HEX products should start to ship in Janurary.

It's about time Sergei came around! Stay tuned for more NHL players in Fuel!

Think Feds mighta ditched his Warriors since they broke on him so much last season...one of them cut his hand open too had wound up with a few stitches. Remember him doing that cause he couldn't take any faceoffs for a couple games. But he broke 3 new Fuels in a period last night too...maybe a switch to something else now?

He's one of the most fickle guys that I've seen. Over the last couple years he has used something like half a dozen different models of gloves.

He changes gloves a ton, but other than that, he isn't too bad. He has used 1100/Dolomite's for quite a few years (late 90's?) and probably has only worn two skates since then (703, One90)

Satan's playing our new V-HEX shaft. It will be part of a new line of tapered shafts / blades / OPS. I snuck this one by J.R.! The 2-piece version is a black and white shaft with blue "fumes." This is what Satan and a couple other players started using about a week ago. There will be a OPS version that you will see shortly. We shipped some to Ribeiro this week. The OPS version will be available in Grip and Non_Grip version and have a green fume on them. The V-HEX blade is the key to both. It is a combination VDS / HEX Core blade. The blade and shaft also will be available.

MikeO,

Any word on what retail patterns will be available for the VDS blades? Any chance for a return of the "Carter" pattern (Drury clone, 1/2" heel, open)?

Also will there be some lower Senior flexes available (ie a 75 or 80 flex senior shaft)

Thanks

Easy Jonsie! The initial launch of Fuel will be in Rafalski, Boyes (old Elias) and Hossa (old Hull / Leopold 2). I'm not sure what the Initial launch of V-Hex will be, but probably the same. Also the first Fuels will be non-grip. McCauley, Carter, and Ribeiro curves will come out sometime after the hockey show. I'm not sure what the names will be on the curves by then.

So, still nothing in a 5 or lower?

The Elias L2 blade I had was about a 5. Mikeo says that's gonna be a Boyes, so I guess it will be a 5 too.

The old ones were over 5 and I thought someone mentioned the new ones are closer to 5.5

I guess the L2 I had wasn't as old as I thought then. I know the Hull one I have is definitely a 5.5. Damn, I thought I was gonna make a switch back to Mission stuff too, but I can't do anything over 5.

Would add that Feds is back to his Dolomites. Must have gotten turned off by the defects in the 3 or 4 sticks he snapped in like 30 minutes.
