Vector Pro/10.0/ 9k pump...review/comparaison.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, i tried a 8.5 D vector 2005(only size left) and it was too long

8 E vector 10... they were way too narrow where the mid-foot is and the toe box was imo a bit too wide, but my other feet was alright. it's like my right foot was fine and my left foot had those pressure point..

So i tried the rbk 8k 8D...and they felt like a plastic box very unconfortable.

So my last choice the rbk 9k 8E/B. and they were the skate that felt the more like my tacks. since i have small ankle. they guys recommended me to try 8D/A so the ankle would be tighter and if i had pressure point, he would just push them. But the funny thing is that after pumping it 15 times i couldn't even feel a difference..maybe that a indication on how much narrow are my ankle.

So I have 2 question: How is the pitch of the rbk compared to tack, they look a more agressive lean than my tack beeing traditional.

***#2*** You guys, recommended me the vector, but actually the rbk fit me better, so i'm septic..is there something wrong with my feet? or the 9k boot that i didn't notice..?

Thanks you!

Alex

The Pitch is the same they both have a 1/32nd reverse lean. Something CCM did in 2005 to make people feel that they were the same feel as a Tuuk Plus.

As for Radio I would go with the 962 if you can find a pair at 199.99 its an awesome skate for the price.

and a nice neutral profile and leaving the 11ft profile is were I would start.

That's why you always try on skates and decide what fits for yourself.

this post is about a 7E vector 6.5 fitting issues, it being not deep/wide enough. i too am trying to decide between new skates (9k/v 10.0)

i have a fitting issue with my vectors and i'v been trying to find the reason why i've been having frozen toes, thinking it maybe the lacing too tight, circulation problem, heres my email to my buddy of my findings:

"so i think i have been lacing the vectors too tight near the front forefoot area before the toes, cutting off the circulation. although i thought about this in the beginning and tried many times to adjust the lacing, none of the adjustments worked. thus led me to believe it wasn't lacing cutting off circulation. its at the point where im readjusting my lacing after shifts.

therefore recently i've been trying to figure it out, experimenting to firgure out the cause. after last friday's skate where i experimented (no success), i put them on just a moment ago and tried few configs. i think i finally figured out the problem. the ccm vectors are just not deep enough. please refer to the attached 2 pictures and see for yourself. when i usually lace them up i laced them too tight, thats because if i didn't lace them on that tightly i felt the tongue wasn't covering enough of top of my foot. even though i've tried loosening them up, they were still too tight. it seems the @ right tightness where i feel circulation to my toes, there almost isn't enough of the skate (tongue and side) to wrap around my foot properly.

the two attach pictures are of my right skate, with, i think the perfect tightness/looseness to allow circulation and prevent dislocation. i will try it out tomorrow and see if it helps. but i still can't stress enough the disapointment that these skates are still not wide/deep enough..."

any comments/relation to ur fitting problems?

On the first pic it seems to me as if the foot swells out of the boot/tongue. I had the same issue when i had CCM Tacks, now i have Bauers 8090 and im fine.

I actually hve superfeet in those vectors already.

superfeet much harder, thiner than the orignal. much more comfy, i guess it corrects a arch fitting issue, plus quicker response to the boot allowing for faster skating response?

just what ive been using for years

Just to be sure of my purschase. I would like to be sure that the cut is the pretty much the same.

To all you 9k user, how is the cut? low-cut,mid or high cut.

To give you an idea, my tack are Good, Flexlite= too high.

Thanks you

Okay i post this one in there because its not worth a new thread.

I can get my hands on a decent used pair of 9ks, but i cant try them on because its ebay. They are 8.5E and the holder size is 280 (which all my fittign skates had by the way) and i was fine in a 8.5 8090 skate and a 9 XXX (which was too narrow but it was okay when you just look at the length!).

Thank y`all.

Randy
