Cage

Recommended Posts

I will play the junior team of our club this season and im absolutely sure that i need a cage. Im a visor guy and i love the clear sight, but since its the junior league i dont dare to use it. All the players are almost hunting those visor players (18+ visor allowed, im 20) but i think its just too dangerous.

So, coming from a visor, can you give me some basic informations? The last time i rocked a cage was when i was like 17 and i just had some cage which i got with this old bauer bucket i bought back in the day.

Is there a huge difference between a black, white and chrome cage? Which fits on a CCM 892 Helmet?

I think thats all for now.

If not, go with a Jofa White or Chrome cage. They are very easy to see through (I forget its there) and have better ventalation than a visor/cage combo would

Get the Itech I2, Its black on the outside and white on the inside. best vision for a cage. dont wear a cage/visor combo. they look goofy.

DEFINATELY NOT A VISOR CAGE COMBO

if your worried about getting head hunted and beaked for just the visor, youd be getting it worse with a cage visor combo

I just want to say taht it is pretty cheap for guys to be hunting people with visors. There should be some sort of mutual thing where every team can wear visors without getting cheapshotted to the face.

I've hadthe same experience with my NBH 8500 oval wire cage. It's so light and non-disruptive that I traded my visor away and play exclusively with the cage.

A visor/cage combo is not an option. I will go with a visor and when i see (on other visor players) that its not that bad, i still can change.

What about this Jofa 480 cage?

Funny is, that im in the same league as Bauer_freAK of MSH. In December we will take on each others teams, hehe.

you're 20 and you still want to use a cage?

Where were you playing before? If it was a better league, why throw the halfer back on? Shouldn't you be able to tear a bunch of these kids apart?

Im playing overage, so im 20 and others can be 20 too. In this league players are from 16-20. And i dont dare to risk some blood while going into the corners with 2 weird puberty-kids.

I played some adult league before where everyone had a visor and there were no "hatered" against visor players. I just know that its very bad in this league with visor players.

What don't people like visor players? I really don't understand that, when I played in the u21 at state (I am 15) people where wearing visors, I respected that and treated them like any other player. Heck, I will most likely where a visor when I turn 18...What is the big deal?

Hm, I guess I understand that. In my league we all respect the kids who have the balls to wear visors once they hit 18. Our coach won't let forwards who started the season with cages wear visors though once they have thier birthday.

I will go with a visor anyways. Im a lot bigger and taller than those kids... and if they go for my teeth, they have to pay the consequences ;)
