Sundin out 3-4 weeks

Bad news...and Nik Antroprov is taking his place on the top line...very very bad news.

He's been play well of late. The team will definately miss his presence on the ice.

Leafs need a second line centre who can put up some numbers.

Stajan's line has looked awesome lately. It should be a decent secondary line. The Poni - Welly - Antropov line can do some damage if it clicks.

I just can't see how putting Antropov up there will do anything though. That's like Joe Manager at McDonald's going "Well we ran out of beef patties but the rest of the Big Mac roll call is around. We can just put piles of crap in patty form in there and it won't be much of a drop-off."

It will be a drop-off, but Antropov has played well and the hope is Welly can produce at center again. He's clicked with Antropov in the past a bit, and everyone knows the link between Antro and Poni.

The Leafs had a heavy early schedule, so Sundin shouldn't miss a ton of games. He won't be going on the IR.

It certainly sucks, but things could be worse.

Besides Raycroft being out, how?

We could be in much worse position in the standings or be in a tougher part of the schedule to start. I realize he is the leader of the team and the key component of the powerplay, but this is the time if there has to be one. Maybe I am being a little optimistic, but it wasn't like his injury was the reason we missed the playoffs last year.

Wow, was this a bad omen or something

Raycroft left the game near the end of the second

Jesus I'm a bastard. They're saying it was a strained groin. For what its worth he seemed fine skating off the ice, and I see no need keeping him in in a 4-1 game.

Thats because they kind of have youth and speed now, and they are playing hungry. As if that formula is rocket science based on the rest of the league.
