Now that we know who is in the Grey Cup, I want to know who you want to win, and more importantly who you think will win.

This might appeal more to the canadians but, I thought I'd throw it out there.

I'll start.

I want the Lio's to win, and I also think that they will win.

I say BC, they sent 7 players to the all star team one of them being Geroy Simon the leagues leading reciever. Plus all season our defense has been amazing, I think the stat was that BC's defense was 1st or 2nd in 18 of 25 CFL catagories

Where's the option for "I don't care."

Serious question- Is there actually a large market in Canada who watches the CFL? Or is it like hockey in the US?

I would think that there is a large enough market to warrant the creation of a thread on the topic. I highly doubt that it is like hockey in the States, the Lions were able to attract a crowd of over 50,000 and that seems like a lot more then some NHL teams. Maybe the American members of MSH may think its not all to important though, I dunno ;)

I wasn't suggesting that there shouldn't be a topic about it, I was just wondering how popular it is because I have absolutely no idea. All you hear about it in America is how its a place where people who can't make an NFL roster or who buy the wrong colored Whizzinator go to play.

The CFL is very popular in the West (Edmonton, Sakatchewan, Calgary & BC). As you move east there is a little more empathy towards the league...Toronto will hold over 40,000 for football and it is only recently that they've started to see decent crowds again.

Hamilton sucked this year, but drew well in a smaller stadium (28,000....full for MOSt of the year). Montreal plays at McGill Univ., so they don't have huge crowds....when they move to Olympic stadium for playoffs they usually have decent crowds...but the West is it for the CFL...huge crowds every week and they play more bad weather games than the East (other than BC...dome).

btw...Lions in a 'walk!

I think it is going to be such a walk for the Lions that it will be a boring game... too bad, the CFL could stand the shot in the arm from an exciting Grey Cup.

I don't think too many caught that... :)

JR, it should be an easy transition to send the Lions into the CFL since Michigan is Canada's Alabama anyway.

I couldn't let the opportunity pass by, gotta give respect to the Oregon alum.

I'm from Canada, and I still don't care about the CFL.

Hey 'jamz...The correct response when you don't care about the content or topic of a thread is NO RESPONSE!!!

J-Shera...Yeah Onterio was in Winterpeg in Pre-season...I don't think he played a regular season down.

This is slightly off topic from the thread... the CFL has just announced that they will no longer allow players suspended by the NFL to play for them.

We've always enjoyed the benefit of these players while also patting ourselves on the back for providing people with a "second chance".

As the CBC mentioned this morning... people who have some criminal difficulties would not be affected by this. In other words, the rapist can play, but the guy suspended for smoking pot can't.

What do you think of this?

I would like the Als to win the BC as too much of a balanced team, they should win with a difference of about 10 points.
