rbk 4k vs 5k shinguards

Recommended Posts

i am in need of new shinguards and i was wondering if anyone has used either of these.

wich ones have the two peice straps on the interior of the shinguard that seem to act like your leg doesnt necessarily completely touch the whole shinguard?

if anyone has either of these can you post a picture of the inside of the shinguard part where your leg actually touches?

also, wich ones are more comfterble? the 4k's look like they dont go as high on your legs.

i wear 11 inch eastons currently btw.

thanks inn advance

If you can't help her, why post?

It is the FitLite sling straps. Your leg sits on the strap, so away from the pad. The 4k is a bit more streamlined than the 5k - that pad is very wide.

I have the 4k with the fitlite and they feel awsome. They are abit wide but seriously, these SG fit so well you dont notice them on the ice.

i found the 4ks for $30 on hockey.com

i think ill proally order them tonight.

but, is the suspension thing the only big difference in the two?

4k is vented and the thigh flap is more streamlined on it.

thanks for all the info. i cant wait to try out the fitlight straps. these look well worth 30$.

i have another question though. they dont have much protection above the knee, does that mean i should go up a size?

I would say like most other pants...S: 30-33 M 32-36 or so. But the might feel a little snugger as they are more like girdle/pants. Idk bout the shell, probably something big since they are normal pants. I'd say...probably a L/XL.

what do you mean? your pants should cover half your kneecap.

They should come up to the top of the kneecap.

well i am just saying, i have never seen shinguards without the extra inch or two of padding above the shins. i didnt know if it requires me to get a size larger.

i ordered 11s thgouth, because i prefer the shins to be short
