I don't even understand why this is a poll. OSU and USC. There is really no question about it. Unless on the off chance USC loses today, in which case it would most likely be a rematch of OSU/Michigan.

Assuming USC plays Ohio State, I'm up for betting some random piece of hockey equipment that we don't need, value to be mutually agreed upon. I'm thinking of something like old blades we never use, dried up stick tape, etc.

As for Michigan playing in the title game, I can only hope this no-win situation doesn't happen. If OSU wins, we learn nothing - we already know they can beat Michigan. If Michigan wins, then we still wouldn't know which team was better and there will never be an end to the arguments. Both teams would have lost only to each other, the only difference being the order in which the teams won. A rubber match would be needed. Michigan had their shot at OSU. I want to see OSU play someone else.

but IF USC looses and Ohio State plays Michigan, it wont be the same game becuase it will be at a nuetral site, Glendale, AZ

I would've bet every single piece of equipment I had on that OSU/USC match up, but the Bruins (yes, UCLA) were too much. Anyway, good point about the game already played and the outlook of opinion no matter an OSU/UM rematch.

Although Michigan would probably beat Florida head to head, Florida has the better shot to beat OSU. Hopefully voters will think about this to at least give Florida the human poll edge.

Playing in the best conference in the world, and winning it's championship, should help too.

Even if they did, they can decline and accept the National Championship if they get a bid to it. So that doesn't matter at all.

BTW - How can you say the Gators play in the best conference in the world? I agree that, usually it is the best, but this year the Big Ten is the best. Having the two best teams in the country, along with (IMO) the 4th or 5th best team (Wisconsin), the Big Ten is the best conference this year.

I totally agree. Florida is overated and probably would have lost to arkansas if not for the muffed punt with arkansas. Ohio State will blow them out. Michigan is by far the number 2 team and should get another shot. Mutual field is a big difference from playing at ohio state. crowd makes a huge difference. If osu is truely #1 then they should be able to be michigan again. Where's the playoff system???
