I think Linksys makes one thats like 50-60 bucks.

They xbox ones will be hard to find tho. It took me 2 weeks to track down a new one, let alone a used one.

Don't like to thread jack but I didn't really think we needed another 360 thread. I am having a lot of trouble coming up with a Christmas list so I think I may get a 360 but if I did it's the only thing I would get. Is it worth it? Also what's the difference with the core and pro and which should I go for? Once you buy the system and a game or two do you need to buy a whole bunch of other things to have any fun with it or are you set? And last how does the whole live thing work, can you still be on the internet while your playing? Does it come with it do you have to pay more? How do you set it up? I think thats it, thanks.

Is it worth it?

I would say it is. I've played with it for about 4 hours at a cousin's house and it was a blast.

Also what's the difference with the core and pro and which should I go for?

Core has:

Wired controller

Xbox 360 (WITHOUT HARD DRIVE, which means you'll need a memory card to save)

Premium has:

Wireless controller

Xbox 360 W/ Hard Drive

Headset for XBL

Other random stuff I forget

Premium>>>>> Core, the Harddrive is way more cost efficent than the memory card. And plus, the Hard Drive costs $100 on its own, and you get tons of other stuff with the premium so the premium is better.

If you buy a premium set, you should be set with it, unless you want another controller. If you buy the core, you will need at least a memory card ($40 USD) to save your games.

And last how does the whole live thing work, can you still be on the internet while your playing?

You can still be connected while you're playing single player, sometimes the games will alert you if you get a message/friend request/so on.

Does it come with it do you have to pay more?

Everyone has a free Silver level subscription, but you can't download game demos or play against other people. If you upgrade to Gold, which is $50/year, you can do everything; play against other humans, download stuff off of XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade), log achievements, and so on. I love Live, well, at least on the old Xbox. It's interface looks vastly improved, though.

How do you set it up?

Look on Xbox.com for a tutorial... It's very easy.

yup. Xbox live is a breeze to set up, and a breeze to use. Best online gaming you can get.

I don't want the Linksys ones because of the size.....that is why I want the 360. I might just have to suck it up and pay the $99 for it.

They had a press conference about it about a month ago, they hinted at the beginning of the year.
