I'm not even criticizing, it's just an observation. It's unusual to see it happen this way. And I did watch the game, if the Pens stopped trying to force the puck to Sid on odd-man rushes he probably would've picked up a few more points.

I think there is more truth to that than not.

I'm not a huge Crosby fan, but he, and the team, could benefit from someone like Malkin on his line - not just for more points, but more than a one-horse line. Spread out the threat and both might do better. If only the rest of the team could keep pucks out of their net...

And it was a bloody miracle his goal ended up in the net, a blind backhand into traffic. What could and should happen doesn't matter. Only what actually happened really means anything.

I really can't stand Crosby but the kid is easily top five in the league. The only thing he needs to improve, if theres even a need, is shooting. He really needs to shoot more, he could easily challenge Gretzky's 92 and 163 if he attempted.

I don't know....I actually think he uses his shot as needed and doesn't overshoot. I don't think you can argue with his passing ans vision, and that is where he can do the most damage while elevating the level of all of his teammates.

He thinks pass first, he sometimes over passes and the play gets botched. For instance in the Flyers game he had a real opportunity to score 2-3 goals while on the various Power Plays. Most NHL players who have a clear shot from the hash marks would usually take it, Crosby on the other hand will let up and play catch with the point men. Hes leading the league in scoring so obviously its working but he could be THAT much better if he shot more.

Right now hes on pace for 102 assists which would put him in company with Lemieux, Gretz and Orr as the only players ever to reach 100 assists. 163 in a season seems pretty far off but hes probably the only guy in the league who could do it.

How about the outside inside through Zhitnik, picking it out of his skates while comming through and throwing the saucer pass to Talbot? I believe while falling down???? :o

Alternatively, Malkin has looked like complete doo doo the last two Penguin games I've been able to watch. A fair amount of Kovalev-esque floating.

Malkin is more effective without Crosby in the lineup... He was a one man show in the RSL, hes not used to sharing the spotlight, especially with "The next one".

You know what...If you don't like this kid or if you had issues with him like I did, you better just drop them. Because as we all aknowledge, he is going to lead the league for years and he will continued to be shoved down our throats. If you don't like him, the hate factor will just eat away at you too much

As great as Crosby has been it's nice to see Malone getting the job done on Sidney's wing. Nice to see after he got the shaft last year. Recchi picked up his 800th assist tonight, what a week for Pittsburgh.

this kid i starting to play amazing. i think sportscenter reported that he has 19 points in the last 7 games or something. he is fun to watch. there are alot of my friends that used to follow the NHL everyday, but with our Avs in last in the division right now, they've given up on NHL, but if this kid and malkin and ovy can continue playing like they are/can, the league is going to be better and better every year.
