My weird XXX Lite

Okay, I just picked up two NBH xxx lite. I liked it, and the curve was exactly what I was looking for (slightly less open Drury pattern). But! I realized that my xxx lite is HEAVIER than my easton ST!? Um... At least, I expected it to be lighter.

Is it just because of Pro stock? Any idea?

Yes, the fact it's pro stock would be the biggest reason it's heavier. Someone could have wanted more weight or it could also just be poorly balanced and just feels heavier.

Just out of curiousity - - how many hockey sticks do you own? You just bought these two, I just sent you one, and from past threads it seems like you have every model of OPS.

I don't know the weight on the ST, but the lightest it could likely be is the 395 grams. The XXX Lite is something like 420 grams? You shouldn't be able to notice the 1 ounce difference unless you're looking for it.

However, maybe it's like Mack said and it's just balanced differently (more blade heavy, for instance) and that's the reason why it feels differently...

OR, you can be like me who bought an M1 which actually turned out to be a shaft with a wooden blade they painted to look like an M1 because Rafalski had a contract with Mission and had to paint it so that kids watching games would want one....

Just out of curiousity - - how many hockey sticks do you own? You just bought these two, I just sent you one, and from past threads it seems like you have every model of OPS.

:D I got them sooo cheap price. $150 CDN (apporx $120 US each). My grandpa took me LHS and said, "get whatever you want but no skate". Cool grandpa, I didn't expect him buying me something.

Actually, I do like trying every other brands, but I haven't used NBH sticks (I bought XXX Lite long ago but returned it).

Are you sure it's actually a XXX-Lite, couldn't it be any stick really and just repainted.

Well.. I never heard about some other NBH stick being repainted. But it has weird checkerboard (like dolomite blades) down shaft where was written VAPOR in smaller letter.

Its not super cheap. Theyre on ebay all the time for less then $90.
