I would also like to add that Ray Ferraro is a complete f*cking tool for that "commentary." Can he get any more dramatic?

Yeah, except that he was pretty much right. I can't think of many more embarassing moments. Cechmanek reaching down to pick up his glove maybe? Salo in the Olympics muffing it against Belarus?

Speaking of Stefan...

Gino Reda's Plus/Minus on TSN

A minus to Patrick Stefan after a rough night. He got yet another first hand reminder of the disappointment he's become. The first pick overall in the 1999 draft was on the ice with the second and third picks that year, Daniel and Henrik Sedin. Stefan has eight points this season while the twins have almost 80 points between them.

ouch.

Tried to dangle? It looked like he just skated in and the puck skipped over his stick.

Don't forget Patrick Roy's infamous "Statue of Liberty" in the playoffs against Detroit. ;)

"They may show it a million times for years to come," joked Stefan. "I mean, we came out with the two points so it's easy to laugh about it right now.

"It's not like I missed the net, I saw it was bad ice and I had so much time so I just tried to carry it all the way to the net. As soon as I put it on my back hand it jumped over my stick. Not much I can do about that."

I do kinda feel for the guy, if Dallas had gone onto drop points in that game, he would have got a roasting. But to his credit, he did get a nice opening goal for Dallas.

Yeah, but no one will remember the one he scored....remember:

one "oh sh*t" wipes out 100 "atta boys!"

But I feel for him too, but he blew it.

I agree. I dont know what hes going all nuts about --- it obviously hit some sort of bump in the ice that made the puck bounce over his stick -- wasnt like he tried to do a 360 for fun and missed. Ferraro makes it sound liked he pulled something as drastic as the bertuzzi hit --- hes an ass.

i saw this on espn last night. what are the odds that the puck would jump over his stick right when hes about to score on an open net. that was a crazy finish to the hockey game, but the 10-2 game seemed just as exciting

lord have mercy, shoot the dam puck sooner...

On another note, Jussi Jokinen instills fear in any goalie in the shootout, dude is strait killer, cut up Luongo the night before and stuck roli last night.... It's just funny now to see him terrorise them

there truly is a hockey god

that pucked jumped like that because the hockey gods needed to repay the oilers for the last time they lost the game because of a crappy call.

Keep in mind Ferraro played with Stefan in Atlanta. Maybe he doesn't like him from those days?

Too funny!

But this was just another regular season game. Imagine if that very same thing would've happened in game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals, and his team would lose in the overtime?

I actually heard somewhere that the two of them didn't get along very well.

Ferraro was a bit harsh on the play but he is my favorite media in all of Vancouver and unless your from BC or Alberta you can't really comment on his media abilities besides the 10minutes you of him on NBC 5 times a year

He recently said on Sportsnet news the Stefan is one of the nicest guys you'll meet. He then stated that the play was a lot like his personality and he was to nice and gentle on the puck when most players would have fired it in from the slot
