Trip down memory lane

I remember ads about skates with frames where you didn’t need any tools to get the wheels off if I am correct. I only have ever seen one person on them and that was a ref.

quickchange hockey, great boot, bricks for frames.

imo quickchange frames were a pos.

in one of our games a kids foot into the boards with these frames on, the wheels all popped off and bounced around like bouncy balls. it was really funny because we saw him go into the boards and then all 4 wheels on his skate came off

exactly, the frames were extremely heavy and always had the chance to have something like that happen. But the boots were amazingly comfortable. Same way I felt about V-Form, horrible frame, super comfy boot (the original old TST2000 skate, not the newer PBH looking one, I never tried that one)

Speaking of comfy boots, I miss the old upper end Riedell boots that were so popular way back when too.

old topic but had to post these beasts of skates i found in my parents garage. i won these quickchange elites in a raffle at a tournament around 03/04. i could not find a single pic on the net of these or any of the models. They originally came with gripper millenniums and one of the chassis ripped off the boot about 10 games or so. Anybody else ever used these?
