Difference between Nike Bauer Vapor xx and Bauer Vapor XX

Recommended Posts

I am looking to purchase a pair of Vapor XX gloves. Are the Nike Bauer Vapor XX's the same glove as the Bauer Vapor XX's. I keep getting different prices between these 2 as well as different colors. Can someone explain?

Thank you

I am not sure what the technical differences are but the Nike Bauer Vapor XX are a 2006 model and the Bauer Vapor XX is a 2005. The links look the same so I would go with the Bauer Vapor XX's at the lower price. Nice gloves though

It's probably just like the Bauer 8000 helmet and the Nike Bauer 8000. The helmet looks identical to me with just a logo change. I am sure someone from an LHS will have more information.

if you look around the web, you'll prob see a lot of Bauer branded stuff on sale so they can bring in the new Nike/Bauer branded items.

Like TBLfan said, maybe some slight cosmetic differences but overall the same glove

I work in a hockey shop and as far as i no all NBH is doing is rebranding the products. The only difference i have seen is in the 4500 helmet compared with the 4000 is theres an extrusion guessing to add to the design. Not sure how to explain it. But its just the logo that has changed.

is that on the back of the helmet between the crown ridges? During our last High School game, Two refs had what I thought to be 4000's, but had a small ridge on the back of the helmet between the crowns, so could have been the 4500?

The socket for the screws in the front for a cage are also different, they're more protruding.

if you notice on the NBH gloves the "XX" has a bolder and stitched outline. Also inbetween the "XX" and the pointer finger it's stitched on the NBH one and rolled on the Bauer one. The NBH middle line on the back of the glove is slightly bolder and lastly I think the NBH has a larger extended cuff to the left(on the picture) of the part with "vapor" written on it. I haven't seen the NBH glove in person or at least I haven't tried them on so I couldn't tell you it there are any other differences.

There is also reinforcement around the rear screw holes.
