wow...

no.. dont get me wrong, mississauga is great..

but making little money, high taxes, unaffordable housing...

incredibly slow health care...

to mention a few..

so no one likes it..

just have an opportunity that may be hard to pass up.. any other city.. i'd be all over it.. syracuse is making me hesitate.

It's actually nice in the summer but winters can be a little hard. I think they have one of the smallest buildings in the AHL for what that's worth.

Sorry for the sarcasm. I know two guys. One formerly from Syracuse and one from Rochester. Economy sucks since the Chevy plants closed.

I grew up in Syracuse, but live about 70 miles south now, so I do not know about the adult rec leagues. There are lots of hockey rinks within 20-30 miles....more than you can skate in!

There is only one real hockey shop - McKies....there are others, but they are usually small.

For a place with lots of snow and cold winters, there are many golf courses....public and private of all qualities.

If you are there for an interview and the timing is right, check out a Syracuse basketball game at the Carrier Dome.

One of the local only things is that it's a great place to raise a family in the suburban locations. Good schools, inexpensive, excellent local communities, lots of youth hockey organizations.

I lived in Liverpool, which is a suburb of Syracuse, until I was 5. All I remember is the snow. I have pictures where the snow banks were 3 feet over my head.
