According to Bobby Hull Jr.'s Shooting and Scoring DVD

contrary to the rest of the world. Their explanation for it was "The Hulls have a pretty good shot, so you should try it too...". <_< Gee thanks.

If that is true then it seems to me the direction of your tape job is absolutely irrelevant, because if it was - Brett would have seen a difference...

No?

I have always done from toe to heel as well. I strongly believe it makes no difference what so ever. I usually put a little wax on it or rub it down with a puck to smooth it out anyways.

Jeez, 38 years playing hockey and now I find out I taped my blade the wrong way all those years! That explains everything!!

LOL!!! Good one, DS!

I tried taping both ways and found better results doing the reverse Hull way (normal way for all of us regular folk).

That reminds me of growing up with 2 brothers that were friends of mine whos father would not let them have curved blades on their sticks. On top of that, he would tape their sticks with electrical tape and instead of removing it when it got worn, he'd just add another layer from heel to toe. They eventually were lugging around these glossy, heavy, straight clubs by season end. It was just plain embarrasing!

Well if you tape your toe completely the cut off the left over tape how the hell would you start there and go down? It is hard enough as it is to do it starting at the heel.
