WingsVK97 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2007 While watching the news tonight, they did a story on the cargo ship that has hit ground in England and people are loading up on the stuff that is falling off of it. At they end, they threw out a statistic of there being around 40,000 pairs of hockey gloves floating in the ocean where it's fallen off of the boat on it's way over here. I'm thinking, geez that's a lot gear! So I did some digging and found this.http://www.usatoday.com/money/world/2006-0...lems-usat_x.htmThe kicker being on the left side of the page about a incident, "1994: Cargo from two 20-foot-by-40-foot containers that fell overboard crossing the Pacific — about 34,000 hockey gloves, chest protectors and shinguards — washed up on the coastline between Oregon and Alaska"Anyone remember this and more important, anyone get anything from it? All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2007 One myth to break in gloves is to rinse them in water to break in the palms. -Which is actually a bad thing to do to them, hurts them more then it breaks them in.So I would guess that if anyone did get some, it wouldnt be worth wearing. mack 44 Report post Posted January 23, 2007 Well the VIN would show up when he tried to register it, so you'd have to go down the path TC described.
