Need some stick advice (which should I get)

So I am faced with a little problem. I need new sticks but I don't know which one to pick. I know a guy who is willing to sell me two SYnergy ST's (regular blue ones) for 230.00 USD shipped or two college issued Vapor XXX lite sticks for the same price....

Now I kinda like the feel of the Vapor XXX lite a bit more but I am somewhat worried about the durability (even tho in the review section the durabitlity doesn't seem to be the issue)

So maybe you guys can help me make up my mind and add a little insight if you have used these sticks and could recommend one or the other.

If your worried about durability, definatly go with the ST's. I have personally gone through four Vapor XXXlites in the past two weeks. Urgh.

these are on two opposite sides of the stick spectrum....the st is durable and kind of heavy (compared to higher end ops)..the vxxx lites are made for top performance..and for many ppl have lacked durability but mine has already lasted me 2 months of highschool hockey

I have both..I use the xxx because it has great feel and release..but the reasons I like the st is because of the strong feel on the puck and the heavy slapshot

You need to go with the ST's for sure. I broke 3 xxx lites in like 2 months. And Ive been using the same ST for the last two months. ST is much more durable. I cant really tell the difference in touch, so it would make much more sense to go with a ST. I bet it will last you alot longer.

It seemed like every person who ever complains about the xxx lite has the same problem. the blade cracks along the bottom right under the heel.

Not with me, two right in the middle of the shaft. One at the fuse point and one right at the top of the blade.

I personally really like my XXX Lite, but it's my third one. If your lookign for durability then go with the ST.

for that price I'd probably go with the XXXlite and trade them for something I like. The ST will obviously be more durable but it's less popular. Neither of them I'd love to buy but the XXXlites will bring more for trade value, if that means anything to you.

I personally wouldn't play with a stick I'm not happy with, so either would be on the trading block.

I had an ST and just upgraded to the XXX lite. I like both. ST- for boomer slapshots....XXX-lite for stick handling and quick hard snappers.

mackallaca i feel the same exact way....i love the st for slappers...but the feel of the puck stickhandling/passing and snapping one off goes to the xxx

How is the stickhandling with the ST ? And is the Vapor XXX lite really that far behind in the durability department ? I understand the ST is build to last but the Vapor XXX lites I would be getting are issued for a CHL team so I am guessing they would be an upgrade over retail ones.

depends on your style, xxx was designed for feel and everyone raves about it, st for durability. one90s were designed for big shots, but havnt heard much on their durability yet. if anyone has snapped some let me know.

Why not get one of each. Use the ST for practice and scrimages and the XXX for games. This is what I do.

Because that's around $300 and a lot of people aren't going to drop that just to have one for practise.

Are the ST retail and the Lite prostock? Cause for me having a warranty that is valid with the ST is much/or as important as performance. Sorry but cost for upkeep goes into every decision I make in a purchase
