Basically a thin glove that you wear inside your catch glove.

I know a couple of goalies who wear either batting gloves or golf gloves inside their catcher/blocker. Probably for similar reasons of just taking the sting out of shots, sepecially in the catcher.

I think it's more about keeping them clean. If the layers of plastic aren't taking the sting out of a puck I don't think an extra layer of thin synthetic leather will stop the sting... but it will help to keep the sweat out of the catcher/blocker.

Yeah batting glove would do just fine...and $20 for just one of those seems kinda much. Can buy a pair of normal batting gloves for that much. If you wanted padding, they also make padded batting gloves for those who like wearing them under their normal baseball gloves.

the sad part is I am almost certain those gloves aren't glove's at all.

It's the singular, glove. it's 20 bucks for ONE glove.

I like going bare in my glove, my current model has a gel pack or something along those lines in it. I also like the feel of my glove's insides. I tried using a golf, batting glove, but found it awkward especially the backing. Too

many straps in a confined area for my liking.
