Warrior Pro Stock Curves

I'm really glad I found this site, everyone is really helpful... it's especially good for me since I'm a Canadian but I'm living in Nashville so there's no chance to see most products in person unless someone on my team has one. Not to mention it's a bit addicting reading about other peoples question and equipment... so anyway, thanks, because I feel like I'm asking a million questions.

Anyway, I was looking at the Warrior pro-stocks that are on hockeymonkey.com and I had some questions for anyone who's familiar with some warrior pro patterns. I was wondering if anyone of them were a clone of the Draper, or Sakic retail. From the chart it looks like the Goc, and Witt could be, they have the same general specs and round toe, and the Weight, and Matvichuk seem close but with a rounded toe.

If anyone has one of these or knows what if anything on this chart is a draper retail clone or really close, I'd appreciate it, just didn't want to buy one without knowing.

Witt is more heel than a Sakic would be; can't really comment on the others. My condolences on Nashkill though as finding any decent product there is impossible, like you've already found out.

Even if a pro normally uses a sakic clone there is no way to be sure that the one you are getting is the same as what they normally use.

I get that, I was just hoping that someone may have seen them in person somewhere, or even own one. If not, that's cool, but there's just such a wealth of info on here, it's worth a try...

and Mack, you're exactly right... there's lots of hockey to be played here, a ton of icetime, really cheap leagues, good ice (Nashville Predators practice facility and a brand new rink as well) but there's NOTHING as far hockey stores, the 2 shops that are at the rinks are way overpriced and really don't have anything... I have to get it all online, this place has been so much help for that. Unfortunately I don't get home as much as I'd like or I'd stop by the Perani's in Windsor on my way

I agree that the leagues/facilities are great but the shop situation is horrible. When I first moved down there for school the Hockey Stop (the one LHS worth mentioning then) wouldn't even stock Easton and had just 'discovered' TPS. Brutal.

A P92 would work for you. Since it's a pro stock warrior I'm sure they'd have some nice bauer curves to choose from. :lol:

This is a pretty cool option, to buy pro return stuff from pros other than what is available 'standard'. I agree that it could be tricky buying one of the sticks without actually seeing the blade/curve.

Has anyone bought one of these and been disappointed? As in, it wasn't what it was described as? I would be curious to hear of some.

bottom line, you dont know what you're really getting, and there's the possibility that they werent made for the pros at all.

One last question regarding these Warrior Pro Return sticks...

Are these sticks that were made for other guys, that decided not to endorse or use Warrior stuff? The reason I ask is because Patrick Sharp is fully sponsored by Nike/Bauer (pads, skates, sticks), but there is a Sharp stick in the Warrior Pro Return list.

Thanks for the feedback. For the hell of it, I'm going to call them and see how willing they would be in emailing actual pics of some of the sticks. Highly doubtful, but I'm gonna try anyway.

Update: Just got off the phone with one of their Customer Service Reps, and she said that she wouldn't be able to send me a pic because they have "no digital camera". (big shock, right?)

So I said 'Basically it's a gamble with what you're ordering since no return policy?' And she said Yes - and that a customer was upset yesterday because the stick was shorter than what they thought it would be, but it's how the pro wanted it.

Basically she didn't know much, and that if I wanted a stick fine, if not, fine again.

Worth a try though.
