Damned-if-he-wouldn't

looking for plain leather gloves

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a good set of natural/brown/undyed leather gloves, like they wore in the old days (or like a baseball mitt) but with modern construction and durability.

Does anyone know of any company still doing this? The closest I've seen was a promotional TPS pair that was floating around ebay a while ago.

Eagle has renamed them the G series for this year, but it's the same glove.

They were previously available as a traditional 4/5 roll (was H-34/H-35) But I'm unsure if these are still available.

They definitely have them in G-70 this year, which is based on the X-70 glove. My friend has a pair in all black and they're very nice gloves.

There are also some natural Sher-Wood 5030s on ebay once in a while, usually way overpriced. I think they were the "Coffey" SE. For what it's worth - I thought the 5030s were crap, after wearing 5060s for years.

I have one of those TPS pairs. You can also get the Eagle H series. Available in both natural goat skin, and black dyed goat skin.

Drew, where did you find the TPS's, was it online somewhere?

Just got lucky. Are these the ones?100_0040.jpg

I very much dislike that rawhide baseball glove-esque stitching on the cuffs of the TPS. Why couldn't they just leave it alone?
