I've seen software to do it for about $10 that I'd been meaning to give a whirl. Yes, you'd need a cable to transfer unless you use bluetooth.

damn. I think i read in one of the threads about recording the tone on your computer, then texting it to yourself through some website. It wasn't very clear about how to do that though. Any thoughts?

it depends on what carrier you have whether you can text it to yourself.

Just a FYI, I use wavepad(it's free to download, google it) to cut my mp3s and use motorola phone tools to transfer ringtones to my moto v710(yeah, it's 2 years old :( ).

Wavepad is awesome, you can basically do everything one there as any other program for music I've used. AND IT'S FREE!!!

Thats what I use. I don't know if it works for your phone, but it does great with mine. Free too.

after you send the ringtone to your phone, do they keep your phone number and text you with spam or anything?

No, Ive been it using it for awhile and no spam what so ever.

EDIT: By the way does anyone know where I can find a good quality version of the Mosquito tone?
