Recommended Posts

Orr scored his first NHL goal tonight and ESPN reported that it was on his ninth career shot. Nine shots in 60+ games.

saw it all in person. Orr was almost as surprised to score as the fans were.

He got 2nd star of the night, and practically took a lap of the rink when he came out.

Avery also scored his first as a ranger, and Hollweg his first of the season.

not sure about any family ties.

But yeah, he plays about a shift a game. Sometimes 2, if he doesnt get into a fight in the first one.

The fourth line actually got some good ice time tonight, but it was a blowout.

If you get a chance to watch Sportscenter this morning here is the true beauty of Orr's goal:

He wanted to go with Andre Roy on that shift and Roy backed down, so Orr flew into the offensive zone, which led to his scoring the goal.

That had to serioursly chap Roy. The anchors this morning were also commenting about how great it was to see a Roy-Orr bout, 2 hall of fame names

Colton Orr is from Winnipeg...Bobby is from Parry Sound Ontario.

And, according to Glenn Healy, he wears #28 because he was a Domi fan.

I actually bought tix for a couple of games from a friend with season tickets. I've been to both of Lundqvist's shutouts this year (4-0 against CAR) and to one of the games at the mausoleum. I wish I could get to more games, but I'm happy with the few I've had the chance to enjoy.

With Colton's skating ability, if he was Bobby's son it would be the biggest clowning by the genetic stick in the history of man.

Haha that is very true, he has one of the weirdest skating styles I've ever seen.
