Frustrated with Elbow Pads.

Recommended Posts

I had great luck with DR EP44s. The extra elastic covering the forearm really help hold the pad in place.

if the straps are too short/tight, you could bring them to a tailor to add more elastic. I had similar problems with an old pair of coopers I was using until recently. If the velcro is worn they may be able to replace that as well.

Tape is one option. Everyone I know with CCM Vectors like the lace up, quick tie whatever system you want to call it.

I have the Vector 10.0 and i like them

very protective, comfortable yet take time to adjust to like any other elbow pad...

deff. a great elbow pad..

I just bought a pair of Stealth S9's. Most protective, comfortable, mobile elbow pads that I have ever used. They are mobile right out of the box. They stay put well too.

I haven't played with the Vectors, only tried them on in the store. I couldn't get them to budge, either rolling around or up and down. However, I actually thought the traditional velcro straps on the lower end pads (2.0 and 4.0) were more secure than the lacing system on the higher end pads (6.0 and up).

Since this has turned into a "suggest new elbow pads" thread. Look at the Mission Fuel 85 or 110. They are built just like my old Warp elbows which I would hate to replace. Inside is a neoprene section that wraps your arm and the outside pad part is stuck to it with velcro. The external section also velcros around your arm giving a nice second layer to hold them in place. The removable slash guard that extends to the wrist is nice too if you like short gloves.
