Every team that plays the Caps goes in with a huge advantage. The Caps have one weapon, if you shut down that weapon you control the game. In hockey a single player can't carry an entire team to a winning record.

I would say Semin is a legit weapon also, so they have 2 weapons, the rest is sucking badly, but well, thats what I've come to expect as a caps fan, they better make some damn moves this offseason

Yeah Semin is one of the quitest 30 goal scorers. Just got back from the game today and after watching I say we def. need a pure center. Someone that can skate with Ovi because he gets into the zone before everyone else then has to wait and has 3 d collapse on him.

Semin was benched for OT yesterday against the devils. Listened to hanlons post game presser and he said he "didn't think sasha had a goal in him" for the OT.

Semin is a fantastic skilled player, but is developing into a bit of a puck hog. Couple of times ovechkin was open out there and he elected to shoot a low percentage shot instead.

I'm guessing thats why he "didn't have a goal in him"

Slump? are you all nuts since when 80+ seasons back to back is a slump?

When you don't score for 10 games. Slumps aren't dependant on your year to date statistics. You could have 10000 pts, if you got them all in 1 game and go without a point for your next 25 games you are in a slump.

In ovechkin's last 2 games he's scored 3G and added 3A for 6 points. I think he's starting to break out of his slump.

That first goal of his against belfour on Tuesday was a thing of beauty, a laser right to the top right corner.

Semin coming alive again now too, up to 33 goals.

Novotony done well last night, set oveys goal up.

Was also nice to hear the cheer the donald got when he was picked to take a shot in the shootout

I'm Happy to see him break out of this as I'm watching the leafs play the caps in 2 weeks and can't wait to watch him. I must say, I hope he isn't too good
