How come on grafs the eyelet are 9 and other company like ccm,bauer,etc has 10 holes

Graf boots have a different profile or shape so I guess that's just the way their engineered. The slightly different fit just needs fewer eyelets to do the same thing.

i didnt notice that at first and just left the top eyelet open as i had done with all of my previous skates. didnt work so well, my skates felt sloppy as all hell in the ankle area.

Also, Graf eyelets are deeper to the ankle then reg eyelets on there brands.

It make it really tight.. too tight for me.. thats why i go with UN waxed laces.

Graf boots are lower cut than most. There are other low cut skates with less eyelets, including KOR shitf1, and Mission's supplefit/AG line.

Exactly right.

Even on Mission boots, in a size 12EE I can use 96" laces.
