Leather ear loops

They call these fighting straps, but for helmets. I take it they hurt less when you get punched in that area? Or maybe they're harder to rip apart when you're in a fight? Anyone use these?

Right on...I always thought fighters would rather have their bucket on to absorb blows, but maybe they think differently.

If I ever see somebody in my beer league mixing business with leather...then I'll know they're hardcore.

I too always wondered that becuase I remember Sandy McCarthy and Gino Odjick had them on their helmets.
