Thockey17 1 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 photoshop is one of the most used, and i like it the best.
MNdgame 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Yeah, definetely Photoshop CS. It's sort of expensive but theres a lot to it.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Photoshop is great but brutally expensive. There are other free options out there.
Thockey17 1 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Yeah, definetely Photoshop CS. It's sort of expensive but theres a lot to it. CS is a waste of extra money over version7. CS restricts you from doing so much compared to 7. Basically the only difference is that CS has a couple more filters.PaintShopPro is pretty good, and costs little or nothing. Of course you dont have to pay for any of those programs, you just need resources. And im not giving out mine :P
jay 1 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Photoshop CS has plenty of great new features but they come at the cost of brutal unusability on anything but the most streamlined high performance system with an overwhelming amount of ram.
J-Shera 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 I got photoshop 7.0 off of Kazaa Lite for free. It works great. I use it mostly for moding the exterior of cars.
Speed Demon 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Well then I will get it from kazaa too :PThanks everyone.
Dave 1 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 IMHO PhotoImpact is a serious rival for Photoshop. It has almost as many features as Photoshop but I find it to be much more user-friendly. The auto-enhance-features of PhotoImpact are second to none.
jay 1 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 I just took a look at the PhotoImpact website and the software doesn't look too bad. I think I'll actually DL it and see how well it works since Adobe has really pissed me off with the latest "upgrade" to PS.
asdfa 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 i heard from a... friend that it is possible to get photoshop by downloading a trial (which is exactly the same as the retail, but with a built in trial counter that disables PhotoShop after the trial period) and then using a crack. i could probably ask my friend where the crack is, but use it at your own discretion
Chris_H 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 9 out of 10 times when dowloading software off Kazaa you`ll be downloading a virus, so user beware.

jay 1 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 What you guys were talking about doing is very illegal and talking about it on the board is really stupid. If your going to tell someone how to break the law please do it privately between yourselves.
Vapor 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2004 Photoshop CS has plenty of great new features but they come at the cost of brutal unusability on anything but the most streamlined high performance system with an overwhelming amount of ram.Are you using the mac or pc version of Photoshop? PS always runs smoothley for me on OS X
jay 1 Report post Posted July 6, 2004 The PC version unfortunately but only at work since they wouldn't let me put 7 back on. It doesn't really matter though casue I'll be working from home for a while so I can use whatever I want. I actually plan on buying a Mac once I get settled into my new location (and make sure my finances permit).
Vapor 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2004 Get a G5, you wont be let down. You should get one of their new 30" displays that have over 4.1 million pixels! They cost something like 3 grand but still, 4.1 million pixels!
Speed Demon 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2004 9 out of 10 times when dowloading software off Kazaa you`ll be downloading a virus, so user beware. Well I think I downloaded one that was a virus.. now it won't delete because it says that it is in use by another program... what do I do now? lol... Oh yes, I also have the sharing of the file disabled.
Vapor 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2004 thats means the virius is running, try going to the task manager (control alt delete) and go to the processes, and look for something weird, like an exe file that dosent look firmiliar or somethin

They cost something like 3 grand but still, 4.1 million pixels! If I had that monitor I'd never get any work done. I'd just sit there in a trance, overwhelmed but the immense workspace. I have a 17" flat panel at work now and it's the same size as my 19" CRT. I'm thinking I'll go with the new 20" Apple monitor and it'll be plenty big for me. Vapor 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2004 The new apple displays are pretty. I am thinking about investing in a 23" but Im not sure, probably end up getting the 20" and save a lil $. Apples new program motion also looks amazing... if you do any video editing, you should definatley look into it

Steve 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2004 On the topic of Macs and Adobe...How/Is Final Cut Pro better than Adobe Premiere Pro? Right now, I have a pretty shitty computer and edit skate/surf videos with Adobe Premiere 6.5 and have been getting pretty good. Anyone use the two and which do you like?To be on topic, I prefer Photoshop 7.
