Habs equipment sale

Recommended Posts

i went to the sale. Used and beat up OPS were all 99.99. There were about 15 unused samsonov xxxlites, felt 77 flex, 175.99. Gloves that were used were 100.00, and new were 150.00.

Samsonov had basically a modano clone, his twig had no grip, i loved it but couldnt see myself spending 175 when they are cheaper in the US for 150

The helmet and the twig look pretty sweet. Nice score!

As for Plekanec's pants - do they feel at all more flexible and lightweight than normal 'retail' pants?

I was there as well and had a decent position in line as I arrived fairly early. I managed to pickup 9 vapor XXX lites -

2 Marc Stall World Jr Team Canada

3 Blake Comeau World Jr Team Canada

1 Chad Kolarik World Jr Team USA

1 Simpson's (green X's)

2 Samsonov's (new, red X's)

There were a lot of Samsonov's, as mentioned earlier, almost all of his used sticks were broken. I grabbed about 20+ of his sticks when I got there (XXX lites and One90's and they were all mushy/creaking in the blade).

Also grabbed an unknown helmet from the Worldstars tour I believe. I'm pretty sure it was from the Russian team. Apparently the Habs equipment manager was over there with the team. I will post pics latter as I would like to see if anybody can help identify it a little better.

Helmet prices where pretty high as were the other gloves, pants, socks. It seams clear they are selling the stuff as memorabilia as opposed to trying to just dump excess gear as other teams do (Senators). The game worn jersey's come with Mei Grey certificates which explains the high prices.

damn i arrived there at 9h50. and all the stuff you said higher, was already come!! Too bad grrr

I wanted to pick a samsonov on90 or XXX 77 flex the curve wast just like an iggy but they were all cracked..

glove selection was shit for me.

Helmet beside the blue graphite rbk was different than retail and at 100$ a piece a prefer to go retail...

If so I saw you grabbing a bunch when you walked right in! :P

As for the pants, they are better quality then retail pants, plus team colors and logos.

I was at the sale as well yesterday. There were lots of sticks, some were in better shape than others. I was able to pick up a sickick that Perehzogin used. There were about 15 of them but I had to go through them to make sure it was in good shape.

There was a large selection of Markov's twigs. It has a similar pattern to Drury, they were selling them for 150$. They had some Surray sticks which were 150$ as well. I wanted to pick up one of the new Synergy's, but they were 150$ and they did not seem to be in good condition. So I opted for the RBK which is sweet! I will try to add pics later. It was a great sale, although I do agree with other posters that the prices for the helmets were a little high.

hehe, yup, that was me. Usually I have a friend or two with me to help but I was by myself because of the weather. It made it a little difficult to handle that many sticks with all the people. I'm sure people thought I was crazy but all in all it wasn't too bad of a haul. I picked up World Jr. sticks last year and was suprised to see that they still had some this year.

I buy all my stuff from the plymouth whalers... RBK 8K helmets (navy and white only) 40$ with a Itech visor.

Vapor XXX sticks- 40$

Vapor XXX/ONE90 skates- anywhere from 40-120$

it's sick.

WHERE DO YOU GET THAT STUFF FROM?

Got a white Bauer 5000 helmet. Not sure who's it is, the number was removed. I can't think of many guys that have wore one lately on the Habs though...maybe Quintal or Dandenault? Seeing as how they had a Quebec Citadelles helmet some of this stuff could have been more than a few season old...although the helmet has the new NHL logo on it..

lando...I was right behind you in line...I had the white Vintage toque on. Damn, you moved fast...*L* btw...did the Habs have all those World Jr sticks....was their equipment guy on that staff as well as the World Stars? OR did they ask Chipchura to bring it all back for them *L*

umm, sorry, not looking for the model, trying to identify the team/player...thanks!

as for the WJC sticks, they had them last year and they seem to be the same batch. My guess is that they were from the exhibition games before the 2006 World Jr's. Pretty sure they played some games in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto before heading west to Vancouver for the tourney.

Plymouth Whalers sell all their shit at the end of their playoff run. It might be a bit more expensive now that they are GOOD.

I thought it might have been from the 2000 ASG in Toronto or the 2001 in Colorado. I can't find any decent pictures to compare it too...but that number font looks a lot like what they used.
