Shoulder pads...

Recommended Posts

God those Coops look exactl ylike the DR's I am wearing. I play high school hockey in a pretty rough league and I don't feel I need more protection. I will still go down to block shots and everything. I think the big padding has to do more with parents wanting their kids to be more protected, and I think it started more in the states (no offence) becasue of football being so huge and hockey and football are both very physical sports so parents kinda got worried about their kids getting injured. Anyways, I just feel like if I can out skate and out move my opponent I shouldn't have to worry about being injured from a hit.

the 7500 is a mid level pad, not the same as the 9500 although i do like it more, its thinner. The 8500 is the same as the 9500.

I thought that the 7000 line were just Jofa's from two years ago, like the 8000s are from the last line up. My bad.

Jofa did have a top end 7500, I think. http://www.hockey.com/prodhome.ihtml?ITEM_...004031008585612

Much older though.

I bought some 8000 Lightspeeds on-line but the shoulder caps are a little big and will return them. Went into my Perani's locally here and I hate to admit it but the Nike pads are really nice. The V-Force ones made for THG seemed to be the best value.

The THG model is between the V12 and V10, like a V11. It just has one or two extra features than the V10, They're basically the same thing in my opinion though. You won't notice a huge difference.
