The one they had last year they had some relic stuff laying around from what my brother told me (he went and got some old school shells and stuff). I have him looking for a helmet and whatever skates they might have in my size for me this time around.

Would he be willing to look for a few things for me?

RBK Helmet Black - Large

RBK Pants - Medium

RBK Gloves - 13/14"

JOFA/RBK Shins - 15/16"

They had:

50+ one piece sticks, about a dozen goal sticks, 15 to 18 shafts, at least 50 blades (both standard and tapered), a bunch of the Jazzfest and throwback night socks, about six pairs of skates that were hammered, 20 pairs of gloves, about 6 pairs of shinpads, a lot of helmets (some with visors) , maybe 10-12 pairs of shoulders, and then a little bit of goalie gear: 3 pairs of pads, a couple chest protectors, and about half a dozen blockers and gloves. I got there at about 10 minutes after 12PM, and there were mostly little girls and their moms looking at stuff...........I kind of thought the prices were a bit high ($60 for a helmet, $80 if it had a visor, and they were not in the best condition), I should have taken a notepad and written prices down.....I`d go again next year, but it wasn`t amazing or anything like that....................

I got the only Sickick shaft there.

The Sickick OPS were one pattern - Hogeboom. Yawn.

80% of the sticks were lefties and there weren't many pattern varieties to choose from. Oddly enough, they had some Pro Stock Warrior Mark Hartigan pattern mixed in.

Definitely a very forgettable time.

Sorry to go off topic but does anyone know if Hershey has an equipment sale?

Just call the right guys with the team and they'll sell you whatever you want. They sell more RBK gear to the general public than all of the shops in the area.

As a general answer though, no they don't. All equipment is officially the property of the Caps, so it all gets sent to their equipment sale.

Or so they tell me.

That's funny. They sell so much crap out the back door that they helped put one of the local shops out of business. I know guys who used to have carloads of shafts that they got from the Bears and you could pick up ultralights for $25 each after open hockey. There are a few guys I know that got all of their gear from the team.

I can attest to this 100%. A guy I work with son plays with Woods's son on the Junior Bears, and he told me today that one or two guys is exclusively privvy to all the equipment that gets sold. Maybe more, but one or two guys buy up all the shit they can.

They do not have a formal equipment sale. As Chadd pointed out, it goes out the backdoor, then sold privately or to ebay.
