Hockey in Florida

Ill be down in Florida to play hockey next week (Pompano Beach/Fort Lauderdale) and I'd like to go and check out some hockey shops, anything to recommend?

Also, do the Panthers sale equipment at the team store?

Best store in that area is most likely Incredible Ice in Coral Springs (Panthers' training rink)

As far as the BankAtlantic Center goes, I am not sure if they sell GI/GU gear. That building has changed names twice since I was in there last.

Eh the Bank Atlantic sells game used sticks everyone once in a while. They have two Roberts Dolomites going for $250. But last year after the season the Panthers had an equipment sale for some real nice prices. $25 gloves and sticks(All Composites!). But as for proshops and whatnot around that area, your options are Incredible Ice, like JR said where the Panthers practice, but their proshop is overpriced. There is a shop called Hockey Source which is about 5 minutes down the road from Incredible and their selection is decent, and the price of gear there is much better than Incredible Ice. There are two Play It Again Sports in Coral Springs and Plantation.

if your going to ice zone on lake worth road they have an alright proshop there but its kinda small

The funny thing is, when my parents were in FLA last year, i gave them the informations about shops (from a similar shops in FLA thread) and they did not find any of them.

Guess they were too stupid, heh.

Ice Breaker? Is that Glacier Ice? They also have a proshop, but last I saw they didnt have anything that great, except a Si-core for about $180. But Play It Again Sports is literally 2 minutes down the street from Glacier. And when you go in there say you know Mark. Im sure they will give you a nice price.

I still say if you're from Montreal you're wasting your time in any hockey shop in Florida.

I ended up broking one of my sickick at the tournament, I wanted to find a hockey shop ...but no one could help me!

Only place was Play it again sports on University drive, but it was like 30 minutes by car...so I ended up not buying anything!

And the pro chop at glaicer really sucked :(
