NB ONE 50

Recommended Posts

it's a price point stick. Not anything special, also not what I'd call a piece of crap. It looks really good... but again don't expect it to be a very performance oriented stick.

Is it just me, or is buying an OPS complete overkill for pond hockey. I see people playing pond hockey with sticks that look like they were made out of a bunch of popsicle sticks glued together.

not worth it, your better off spending a little more for a better ops. not neccesary for the the pond but thats really your choice to make

When I picked up a ONE 50 I thought of a Vapor V... If that helps...

And if you are spending money on decent equipment for pond hockey, consider joining a league...

I would just shop around at your lhs. I would get a lightweight, cheap woodie (no preference to brand). I liked my Easton Ultralite woodie a lot. It was $20.

if you want to go the NBH route, just throw down on a one60. having a ops for pond hockey just seems superfluous.

I actually think you'll get better performance out of a good woodie than a crappy OPS. Easton, TPS and Bauer/Nike all make good ones. The One60 is sweet.

or even the one40, very lightweight stick for the price, not sure about durability... but it is pond hockey.

And yeah it's the same graphic pattern but it's yellow and a gunmetal color, look really nice.

Very heavy , alright for back up , but I think it is unnessecary for on the pond.

What stick do you use? I picked up a ONE 50 at a LHS didn't feel heavy at all. Or are you one of the people where if it's over 420 grams it's too heavy?

I'm one of those people :(

For a pond woodie, I would even go as far as getting an intermediate stick for the weight factor. I'm not too picky, but the lighter the better for me.

I think the one40 woodie feels lighter(may be because of balance) than the one50!

The one50 just feels like a cheap-o composite stick. The feel isn't all that great but a little better than most in the price range. Couldn't tell you about durability, performance or how it feels after being broken in.

I think you'd do better buying a cut-ops or cheap used shaft and getting a wood or hybrid blade.

True, I love(d) the Nike Flexlite 10's and I think that the One40 is essentially the same stick - paint/branding.

Different, methinks. The One40 is a tad thinner and lighter than the 10 when I had them in my hands to compare. Both are real nice woodies though.
