Simple, just remove the footbed, pry off white plastic cap, look in hole you will see 8mm nut. Unscrew nut, then pull down on steel in the back and push forward to unhook the fishhook. When installing put a spitball size piece of tape inside your socket to hold the nut in place. This way you can go straight down into the skate with your driver without the nut falling off.

Isn't it easier to just flip the skate upside-down? :blink:

The reason I asked what skates he had, was that with some skates hes going to have to drill a hole after removing the footbed, if one is not already there for him.

No it's not. Much easier to go straight in rather than upside down. You can see the bolt an align much easier going straight down.
