Maximium edge skate sharpening system

What is the general feeling on the Maximum Edge skate sharpening system?? Do you think it is worth finding a LHS that utilizes the seven step system??

It's a good sharpening system, but just because you know the "seven steps" doesn't mean that you are a good sharpener. You still have to be able to apply it.

And not to mention, other "systems" may involve 8 steps, perhaps even more detailed than the ME's. :P FWIW, I was recently speaking with a Div I equipment manager that sent sharpeners to the ME training. He told me they got exactly 15 minutes on the machines.

As a consumer I agree with JR. I have tried a couple of different camps of skate sharpening, one touted to be more advanced. i got the best results for me because of the LHS pro that gives a darn about his work as well as my progress as a skater. Find someone who likes what he does, and give a care about their customers.
