No problems at all ordering from hockeymonkey. However, they are true to their word on shipping times. They take two - three days to process your order, and ship slowest UPS rate. Even when I lived in CA, it seemed like forever to get my order from them. But I've had no problems at all with what I ordered. Unless you're really in a hurry, they are great...

i agree, i've ordered from them, and i didnt recievce my confirmation till the next day, and then it took about 54 hours till i got my email saying it was processed and sent out. they need to step it up on the process time.

while I do agree that they should step it up; In their defense they are a shop, probably a very busy one, then they have online sales... Not everyone can be a priority, although they seem to think that no one should be a priority. meh

I've had to wait a couple days before my order was shipped and I've had it shipped the same day, it just depends. I find I get better results if I order online then call them in the evening to see if "they do have what I ordered in stock." Normally, they go and look and find what I ordered and while they have it they package it up and ship it later that night.

I'd love to order from them as well too, but what kind of customs/duties charges should I expect for them to ship to Vancouver, Canada?

Hi, I live in B.C. Canada, and around where I live there are no stores that sell the equipment I want at the prices I want ( You must all be thinking, Canada?, no place to buy Hockey Equipment? wtf? ) so with my only other option being driving 8 hours down to Vancouver I started looking online and what do you know, the only online hockey stores with decent prices are all in the US, ( again thats another WTF? )

I have already bought from IceWearhouse.com, I had a great experience ordering from them but HockeyMonkey.com currently has some great deals on Sticks and I am simply wondering if any of you have had experience ordering from them.

I don't need to worry about shipping into Canada as I simply get it shipped to the US side of the border ( there is a gas station/post office just 15 minutes from our side of the border ).

Thank you for any info you all may have with them.

Where do you live? Prince George? Fort St. John?

I live in the Kotenay area, Castlegar to be precise ( In between Nelson/Trail ). Closest place with bigger stores is Kelowna and good luck getting my parents to drive me 4 hours to simply browse ( and the prices are horrible in Canada compared to the states ) .

I am not sure about Duty, last time I brought hockey equipment across the border it was only 100$ ( visor and some tape ) and they only charged the usual taxes.

to avoid those charges, what you do is tell the sender to "mark as gift" and you shouldnt get charged. Worked for me twice, one from the states, and once from Thailand.

i know the shipping can kill you, but i just had a great experience with hockey monkey. i bought a warrior shaft and blade, ordered it late friday afternoon, and received it on the following thursday. making the order over 150 dropped the shipping to only a 4-5 bucks handling charge. i have trouble getting warrior stuff, especially blades around here, next time i have a chance ill definitely buy them from hm.

First post but I have had good and bad experineces.

Ordered a few pairs of skates from them.

One pair of ignites on clearance back in the day came without size labels in the skates. Didnt think much of it and didnt really like the fit. The right boot hurt a ton. They got tossed in the back of the closet. A year or so later I lent them to a buddy. He also said they fit really weird. Well on closer inspection we found out one was a 7.5 and one an 8 or 8.5. Different size blade holders and all. This is clearly part my fault for being lazy and not inspecting my equipment, but also a big WTF kind of company would do this. I didnt even bother to contact them as it has been so long and was sure they would tell me to pound sand.

OOPs sorry for the dead thread bump. was searching for something and found this thread replied before I checked the date
