Recommended Posts

any sources?

They need to be a high quality lace 1st and foremost. What color is the stripe in Graf's black laces?

I can't find the Bauer black anywhere. They don't even list them in their catalogue.

If someone knows where to get them - your shop or somewhere else - PM me.

What length are you looking for?

108" would be fine. CCM Vector - 6.5. They came w/ 120" but the were pretty long.

Give the people at myhockeystore.com a call, I've seen the Grafs in store.

What is the difference between a high.low quality lace? I've always bought the $5 packs from Canadian Tire, and the only time I have problems is when they get sliced by a skate blade.

For $5, you can buy a pack of waxed laces at a LHS. Don't think Cdn Tire does anything then your generic white laces.

canadian tire used to see those really nice texstyle waxed laces but i'm not sure anymore...most places in Vancouver atleast are using lowry brand laces which are alright but i like the texstyle ones.

no dice. I called and they acted like I was from MArs.

I guess I have to go w/ white and black.

My LHS carries ProGuard and there isn't much info on them. Any opinions?

Are there black with white stripes available anywhere? You could just get those and take a turqouise/light blue marker to the white parts... You know - either that, or just forget about it, since they're just skate laces.

^^^^^^I just said I was going to do that. ^^^^^^

Now, I just need to know if ProGuard is a good lace. I have already bought two pairs of different brands and they were both terrible. I want to get decent ones this time.

Proguard is just your regular, run-of-the-mill lace.

I just put them in and they are infinitely better than the crap I had. I'll pick up some Graf's in the future, but I couldn't wait. Thanks for the help.
