Towel on net?

Just curious about if anyone else keeps a towel with them on the net along with the water bottle? I use a gatorade towell, and it seems kinda big, might cut it down in half and sew something to it to attach it to the net. Just your thoughts, concerns, what have you.

my roller hockey rink provides (or used to- haven't played there in a while) fresh towels on the top of the nets.. the refs replace them after every game. It's more for the sport court floor than anything else. I take a pull of water, use the towel to clean up the water in the crease.

true, but when your team wears a white jersey like mine does lol looks nasty! ive never had a problem bringing one with me, just bring a small towel like a face one thats all you need it for

Don't use your jersey. That's like using your jersey as a tissue or toilet paper. I don't see how you can disrespect your team like that, even if it is just beer league or whatever. Bring a Bruins jersey to clean up the crease :P

haha, don't worry I wouldn't use one of yours... just chara's ;) or maybe tim thomas... Hey maybe that's why he flops around soo much, he's just cleaning the crease!

Our goalie used to leave his towel on the back of the net. One night the ref missed a goal against him because the towel was in the way. Over the next month or so, it grew into a huge black beach towel. Now most of the refs make him pull it off the back of the net before the game starts.

Chara - the verdict is still out on, as far as I'm concerned. Thomas on the other hand, I wouldn't wipe my own a** with his jersey.. it could catch his cooties, and my a** would be out of position all the time.
